How have we already arrived at nearly halfway through 2017? Soon enough July will arrive and I'll be inching my way to the age of 26, which is terrifying to be honest. 2017 has proved to bring as many swings and roundabouts as it possibly can in my path, leaving me battling with my anxiety again as well as having 0 time to relax sometimes. It's easy to feel overwhelmed when there's so much to balance, the blog, press events, a full time job, being a girlfriend, keeping the house tidy and obviously time to yourself. The list goes on!
I've come to the conclusion that my life needs a little refresh, a little 'spring clean' even though we're nearly in summer, you wouldn't think so with the weather recently but hey ho! I know how difficult it can be to admit no actually I need to just refresh some things in my life and take some time out so here I am with 4 ways you can do that for yourself.
Grab Your Diary and Get Organised.
Life definitely feels a hell of a lot better when your actually organised. When you become overwhelming all consideration of being organised goes out of the window, I'm not the only one surely? I think if your up for refreshing your life then grab your diary and see what you have coming up for the next 3/4 weeks. It's vital to make sure there's a few days in the week when you do nothing other than go to work, come home and spend the evening watching TV. It's not good and it's not healthy to spend your every hour being busy, also there's nothing better than having an early night every now and again neither. It's ok to say no to the things your just not feeling, tomorrow's a new day and nobody should give you grief if you decide that you don't want to spend a day in their company.
Have A Clear Out.
and go mad with it. Clear out your office, important document files, your wardrobes etc. You could go nuts with a good clear out and it's all good for the soul. It's good to write down a list of the things you want to clear out, therefore it's setting yourself small tasks that will make the clear out task seem less stressful.
I tend to have a clear out with music out loud, the VQ Hepburn MKII shown in my images is the essential for this. It's a DAB radio and a Bluetooth Speaker so whether it's a playlist from your Spotify account you enjoy or even a spot of the local radio, this is perfect. I enjoy how compact it is too, meaning I can move it from room to room depending where the clear out is taking place.
Clear Out Your Social Media
Clearing out your social media accounts is hella therapeutic and I definitely feel like I do it more often than most! Facebook is slowly becoming an app I have little interest in anymore too, it's just full of colleagues new and old, people I went school with and 70% of people I actually don't know at all. We've become so influenced by social media and I for one think when refreshing your life social media is the first thing that needs altering. Don't feel bad if you decide to delete that person you met at a blogging event once or whilst pissed out of your face in a club at university, can promise you they probably won't notice it's happened anyway.
Write Lists.
I'm a person who loves lists so writing lists of the things that I want to do in the next month or by the end of the year. Writing a list is refreshing for the soul, sets your motivation in motion and can be a really good mood buster. It doesn't have to be a list of a million and one things either, the smaller, the more condensed and realistic, kind of the better. Refresh your life with a list of the 10 things you need to do to feel mentally happier or more motivated.
